So, apart from online courses, text translations, and weekend schools, what else does the OCHS do?
As well as our Continuing Education Department, the Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies – as the name suggests – teaches Hinduism at Oxford. If you’d like to find out what that involves, then take a look at our report (pdf download).
As one of the few humans to read it from cover to cover (more than once!), I’ll readily admit there’s a lot to absorb. So here’s a few highlights…
This past year, the Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies:
- Published its Journal of Hindu Studies with Oxford University Press
- Had six new titles published in its book series with Routledge
- Held dozens of lectures and seminars, many of which are available for download
- Significantly expanded our library space and the number of titles in the collection
This gives an idea of where our online courses originate and why they are so special.
